No two London kitchens are quite the same, and the right worktop really depends on the space you've got.

• Victorian and Edwardian terraces: long galley kitchens and side-return extensions, usually with a run along one wall and an island or breakfast bar in the new part.
• 1930s semis in outer London: L-shaped and U-shaped kitchens, often knocked through into the dining room.
• Flats and new builds: smaller kitchens, where a slim 20mm quartz worktop in a light colour makes the room feel bigger.

Quartz is the surface we're asked for most in London kitchens. It's non-porous, so coffee, wine and oil wipe off and there's no sealing to worry about. You can get it in hundreds of colours, from bright whites and soft concrete shades to Calacatta and Carrara marble looks. The colour stays consistent from one slab to the next, too. On a long galley or an open-plan extension, that gives you neat joins and an island that matches the rest of the run. If you cook a lot, granite worktops in London kitchens are worth a look. Granite is a natural stone that copes well with heat, and no two slabs are quite alike. 3. Making: we cut and polish your worktops, cut-outs and upstands in our NW10 workshop.
4. Fitting: our own fully insured team fits the worktops and cleans up before we go.

Lots of London jobs involve several trades. We work alongside kitchen fitters, builders and designers all the time, and we'll book our templating and fitting dates around theirs. That way your worktops turn up when the kitchen's ready for them.

We don't only do kitchens. We also make splashbacks, upstands, window sills and bathroom vanity tops, as well as bath surrounds, shower niches, fireplace surrounds and hearths, and stone stairs. If several pieces come from the same slab, the colour and pattern will match from room to room.

Would you or your fitter rather pick up the finished worktops yourselves? That's fine. You can collect from our workshop in NW10, just mention it when you ask for a quote.
