Marble & Quartz Bathroom Vanity Tops in London
A stone vanity top turns an ordinary bathroom into something special. GMQ Stone makes marble, quartz and granite vanity tops to measure, cut for your basin and taps, and fitted across London.
Cut to Fit Your Bathroom
We measure your vanity unit and walls, then cut the top in our NW10 workshop – including undermount or countertop basin cut-outs, tap holes and upstands. The result is a tight, clean fit with no gaps.
Choose Your Stone
- Marble vanity tops – classic Carrara and Calacatta for a luxury, hotel-style bathroom.
- Quartz vanity tops – non-porous and easy to clean, ideal for busy family bathrooms.
- Granite vanity tops – hard-wearing natural stone with a polished finish.
Quartz is the easiest to look after, because it is non-porous and does not need sealing. Marble gives the most luxurious look and is a classic bathroom stone, but it needs sealing and gentle cleaning. Granite is very hard-wearing and suits both modern and traditional bathrooms.
Basin and Vanity Options
- Undermount basin: the basin sits below the stone, giving a clean edge that is easy to wipe. We cut and polish the opening in the workshop.
- Countertop (vessel) basin: the basin sits on top of the stone. We cut the waste hole and tap holes to suit your basin and taps.
- Wall-hung or floating vanity: we can make a stone top for a floating unit or a slab that sits on wall brackets.
Please have your basin and taps on site, or send us the product details, so we can cut everything to the right size.
Sizes and Thicknesses
Vanity tops are usually 20mm or 30mm thick. A 20mm top looks slim and modern, while a 30mm top, or a 20mm top with a mitred front edge, gives a more solid look. We cut tops for single and double vanities, from small cloakroom units to long double-basin tops.
Matching Pieces
We can cut matching shelves, window sills, bath surrounds and shower niches from the same slab, so everything in your bathroom matches.

Vanity Top FAQs
Is marble OK in a bathroom?+
Yes, when sealed. Wipe up cosmetics and cleaning products quickly to avoid marks.
Can you fit a top to my existing vanity unit?+
Yes – we measure the unit you already have.
Do you supply basins and taps?+
We cut for the basin and taps you choose; please have them on site when we template.
How long does a vanity top take?+
Most vanity tops are ready within 7 to 10 working days of templating and fitted in a single visit.
Can you make a top from my kitchen offcuts?+
Often, yes. If there is enough stone left over from your kitchen worktops, we can use it for a vanity top or shelves.
Do I need a splashback?+
A small stone upstand behind the basin protects the wall from splashes and gives a neat finish. We can cut it from the same slab.
